Dr. Kissling attended the University of
Houston College of Optometry,
graduating Magne Cum Laude in 1984.  
While there, he was awarded
scholarships by the Heart of America
Contact Lens Society and by the
Auxiliary to the Kansas Optometric
Association.  His graduating class also
awarded him the Excellence in Optics
Award.

Dr. Kissling is active in the Kansas
Optometric Association, having served
as the Wichita Zone President.  He has
also served the Association on
numerous committees, both as member
and as chairman.  In 2003, he was
awarded the Kansas Optometric
Association Legislative Service Award
for his work on behalf of Optometry at
the State Legislature.  He also lectures
to diabetic classes on diabetic eye
disease.  Dr. Kissling participates in the
American Optometric Association Vision
USA program, providing care for less
fortunate individuals referred to him by
the Salvation Army and the Guadalupe
Clinic.

Dr. Kissling joined our practice in 1984.  
He is fully licensed to practice
Optometry in Kansas, including the
diagnosis and treatment of ocular
disease, including glaucoma, using both
topical and oral prescription
pharmaceuticals.  He also provides
routine eye exams for ages three years
and up, and prescribes contact lenses
and glasses.

Dr. Kissling has been married since
1978, and is the proud husband to the
love of his life, and the proud father of
three sons.  When he is not working, Dr.
Kissling is active in his church, serving
as lector for many years.  He has also
coached youth soccer since 1990, and
spent four years coaching high school
soccer.  He is active in the Boy Scouts,
with all of his three sons having reached
scouting’s highest rank, Eagle
Scout.
